Its hard to argue when you state a valid point and people just respond with QQ's and Great City this and that, god forbid Joeseph gets ahold of you.

Its hard to argue when you state a valid point and people just respond with QQ's and Great City this and that, god forbid Joeseph gets ahold of you.
This was a majority decision made by the region D principals.
It was a democratic process, and everyone had input.
This isnt about every other forum, I dont post anywhere else. Suprbeast is arguing just to be arguing, he is a football old school guy, its not about UVAW, he just wants games on grass.
All I know is, on THIS forum, ONLY GC people are complaining that UVAW isnt right for HSFB.
If the VHSL had an issue with it, it would have been addressed when it first came up.
If the VHSL allowed it when it first came across, what makes you think they are gonna change it because GC wants home field?
You have one home game, that is the reward for being the high seed.
State high school football, its not national HS football. Each state is responsible for their sports.
The VHSL has control over Virginia HS football, not the NFHS.
You know why its that way?
Because whenever a situation does not favor GC, the GC folk come and whine and complain.
GC people think they are special, that they should be able to get whatever they ask for.
GC is no more important than any other Region D school, no matter what the fans think.
And GC people wonder why the rest of the state cant stand you.
If something isnt exactly how they (GC)want it, they raise hell and try to change a system agreed upon by a majority decision.
You wanna know why Gretna embarrassed you guys, running up the score to prove a point? Its because GC's program and fans, not the players.
oh, and Jason.
If you change the Region D finals, then you are gonna have to change ALL the state title games played at college stadiums as well.
YOu really think the VHSL is gonna re-work their whole system because a couple of teams want it? Thats absurd, and if that does happen to be the case, you've opened a whole new can of worms, and trust me, from now on every school is gonna want to do whatever they can to make you uncomfortable.
Take the Lebanon situation times 10000x.
If GC is responsible for taking revenue away from state title locations like JMU, UVA, etc.. just wait and see what all repercussions come.
biggin? are you saying if gc is responseable for this "change" people are going to hate us even more? haha
Im not saying they are gonna hate you more, but it will open a can of worms with the rest of the Region
Before this goes any further I have to be honest. GCHS, GC Football team, and coaches have nothing to do with my petition so I ask Biggin to stop dragging them into it. What I am talking about changing is not coming from GC at all. In fact I was asked by GCHS to not include them in the petition. My last few posts were only to rile you even more and more Biggin so dont take anything I said in most of my posts too serious. Like I said before I just like ribbing you.:D
Biggin, the VHSL chose to adopt the rules governed by the NFHS for their games. They have the choice to use different rules if they so choose, but did side with the NFHS in accordance to how the game is supposed to be played. Texas and Massachuesetts I believe it is do not use NFHS, but those are the only states I am aware of that do not.
gretna ran up the score because our fans acted a fool towards the players and coaches of gretna and vice versa, ill give you that. not because of some ongoing war against gate city, also credit that gretna really couldn't substitute with 32 man roster, but your right, they flat out made a mockery of us thinking we are special at all.
But gate city has handed that out before too, so its not like no one has closure on that situation, i have mine right here next to me:) in a dvd case that reads 2003 state title highlights, sad? maybe, satisfying? yes.
Really? I talked to a few people that should know a few things about this and they said if anything you are going to see more regions go to the Region D format over the next few years.......When that happens will you be in favor of it since all the other regions are doing it and you seem to want to make sure Region D is in alince with the rest of the state
